Hi I’m Natural Richard-

I would like to take a minute and discuss with you the healing power of herbs and botanicals from the Amazon Rainforest….

When it come to health care, there really is only two models:

Holistic and Allopathic Models of Health Care

The Allopathic model is the western medical way of thinking:

The primary way this model works is to use medical treatments and synthesized pharmaceuticals designed to make symptoms go away. It does not deal with causes, only symptoms. At times the Allopathic medical model is very beneficial and important to use: accidents, operations and life saving methods.

Typically it is a “What do I take for this and what do I take for that” way of thinking.

If you have a headache, take an aspirin. It makes the symptoms go away. It does not deal with the cause. It i s well known that pharmaceutical medications have toxic side effects.

WARNING: Properly prescribed medications are the 4th leading cause of death in the United States.

I have observed many people who understand how toxic pharmaceuticals are and have evolved to using nutritional supplements. The problem is they use the same allopathic model of thinking we have been brainwashed with over our lifetime…. What do I take for this and what do I take for that. We have to lift ourselves out of that model.

__________________________________________________________________

The Holistic model requires a completely different way of thinking.

This health care model looks at the bigger picture, the whole-istic view. It seeks to discover the “cause” of a condition, not just making symptoms disappear.

The holistic model is “systems” oriented not “symptoms” oriented.

If we have a headache in this model we would ask, “Why do I have a headache?” Is it from an unhealthy lifestyle, drinking coffee, not enough sleep, to much stress, not eating well, holding the phone to my ear with my shoulder, toxic environment, bad relationship. There are many causes. The headache is the body’s way of telling us there is something wrong. If you make it go away with a pharmaceutical and don’t deal with the cause there is a very good chance it will lead to something more serious…. possibly a chronic disease.

About 20 years ago I co-founded and managed a Holistic health center in NJ. There were 26 people working out of this center. What I learned from observing practitioners is: the ones who got the best results practiced a certain philosophy: cleanse, nourish and balance.

The holistic model philosophy is: Cleanse, nourish, and balance the body.

Cleansing

For optimal wellness we have to get rid of the waste by continually CLEANSING the body with a constant supply of organic whole foods, and nutritional supplements that support cleansing and detoxifying the body. Autopsies have shown that people have an average of 25 pounds of food in their intestines. Elvis Presley had 30 pounds and John Wayne had 50 pounds when they passed away. There is a build up on the lining of the intestines that had to be constantly cleaned with nutrients and fiber. Improving the quality of your food and taking nutritional supplements are good but the nutrients may not pass through the layers that have built up inside the intestines. This is why cleansing is important. In addition to the intestines it is important o cleanse on a cellular level… the lymph, blood, kidneys, liver, etc.

Nourish

We have to continually NOURISH the body with nutrient dense organic whole foods and high quality supplements including whole food nutritional supplements. Many of us know that commercially grown produce is either void or very low in nutrients. Our farmlands have been raped. For over 60 years three chemical fertilizers have been used: potassium, phosphates, and nitrogen. These are the three ingredients that make explosives. After the end of World War II companies that make the bombs convinced agriculture to use it on our crops. They had been experimenting with it since the early 1900’s. The difference between commercially raised and organically raised produce is shocking. Many years ago Rutgers University did a study called the Firman Baer report and learned about this. An example is you would have to eat 57 bowls of commercially grown lettuce to get the same amount of iron from one bowl grown organically.

LIVING IN THE WORLD IS DIFFERENT NOW

  • Fast paced life style
  • Need for quick results
  • Commercially raised food
  • Commercially processed food
  • “Junk” foods
  • Foods that are not foods
  • Consumption of “fast” food
  • Eating fast

Chemically grown, pesticide soaked, genetically altered, synthesized, medicated, pasteurized, homogenized, hormone injected, antibiotic treated, chemically colored, preserved, irradiated, microwaved, genetically modified food.

Do you notice anything different?

Balance

We have to BALANCE the systems of the body by continually eating specific whole foods and nutritional supplements that nourish and respect the innate intelligence of the body so it can do what it is programmed to do. The body is programmed to heal. If you pay attention you can observe this miracle anytime. Take for example when you cut your finger: the body seals the wound to stop the bleeding and in a few days the cut is healed, returned to its original state, fingerprints and all. That is magical.
